So far, they seem pretty legit. We took an artifact and a castle last night. Pretty sure they do some large scale PvP each night. |

Shitty guild name is shitty, but they seem like OK people. I think Phoebus and I have been too far up each other's asses to login, so I don't blame you for leaving. I hope you guys thrive there. Let us know how it goes? |

I'm debating doing that myself. I really like Aion but it's a timesink I don't have time for. At least with Warhammer I can PvP when I'm online instead of dicking around with NPC's and quests all day. I have a T2 Bright Wizard I just love playing =O |

Well, I think this game is going to be around for a long time. I don't see how leveling up slowly could hurt. |

The harder and more annoying it is to max, the more money you should be able to make having it at max. Seems to be a fair tradeoff to me. You either can stand to grind it, or deal with grinding it, because you like to craft and make money. Or you don't grind it, and you just grind cash and buy the shit you want from someone who did grind it. |

i'm personally on wait until they implement the 400% quest xp patch. i'm only 50% asian, after all. the warhammer population on gorfang isn't too bad either, albeit it's t1 with quite a few trial accounts http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m139/phattlewt/warpop.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m139/phattlewt/warpopp.jpg Edited by phattlewt, Oct 22 2009, 06:13 PM.

...well, that didn't take long (predicted this pre-release, which is why I didn't roll with you). Failures. For any of you who aren't casual or otherwise generally horrible, I'm on Zikel. Provoked currently has the highest Abyss Point per Member ratio in North America. Edited by Lucretius, Oct 28 2009, 12:40 AM.

I'm sure you've all figured this out by now but a game that takes more time than even World of Warcraft is a game in which you need active leadership, whereas yourdeath is more of a come and go, get excited and burn out easy community. That is unless phoebus can somehow delegate his powers to someone who will play, be concerned about progress, and still not be a hard ass who can't kick back and just have a good time with his friends. But instead in warhammer you had nexius who's choice style of leading was laissez-faire to begin with in a game where you were supposed to be constantly active bolstering your and your guilds rank- all the while generating more baseless trash talk the the rest of the server they played on *combined*... claiming the effectiveness of the original infamous under the hood of umbrella. As for me, well I won't say I don't have time for said MMO (especially one that will put WoW in its place), however I just won't be seen again playing a game where you feel like you have to constantly log on and show up to upgrade your gear, level your profession, trade in the auction house, farm for repairs and enchants etc etc. A game is already time and life consuming enough as an fps or strategy where you start with nothing and end with nothing. There's something to be said about getting more fulfillment from a game than your real-actual every day to day life. A friend showed me the advertisements for this nearly a year ago and it looked sweet. That said it's just not worth the time investment to me. Instead of jumping on the wagon to a new mmo cause the old one was boring I've picked up FPS like cod4, left 4 dead(edit for *2* pre-purchase ITS GONNA BE SICK! literally..) and am awaiting starcraft II, if the higher ups ever stop trying to milk the market. That said I honestly don't know why you'd bother trying to remake infamous with a laissez-faire attitude. Infamous was originally created by people who wanted to reach towards the goal of grand marshal and pvp+battleground domination alongside friends. This was something, everyone understood, that would take months of hardcore dedication, and while the original guild leaders stopped playing after hitting their mark, nexius took the reigns while the guild still was accomplishing its goal. Since the time infamous achieved its goal in pvp... The wow, warhammer, and I'm guessing aion too guilds are just a mockery of all the time went into what made the guild appealing in the first place, including when nexius handed me leadership and for several months I tried to push his envelope of "Pvp mixed with Pve", which in a world where you needed 40 people on every time you wanted to "do pve" was unrealistic in the setting of being a guild with 4 maybe 5 people logging on a day known for only its high stamina, high damage, and veteran's box of pvp tricks. But by that point I and the few remaining were just trying to keep the guild together, hardly a worthwhile goal. I think that when people pay out the anus for a MMO they want to log on and in addition to rolling heads and beating the pve script feel like they're making progress (hah). Coming out of warhammer, it's apparent to me that the amount of people still around here from actual infamous can be counted on the hand of a left 4 dead zombie. The problem started when nexius quit because he could support a lifestyle that tries to make progress every day in a MMO, a choice I now understand wholeheartedly. However he instead started planning warhammer where he would be the leader with his IRL friend phoebus, which somehow turned into albis and meanrock being the only active players who held authority, meanrock being the jackass that he is I'm sure it wasn't much of a good thing. So I guess what I'm saying is, just don't. Stop. Not infamous. There are still as many original infamous the warhammer guild shrugged off playing on wow in infamous than here. This isn't infamous- the guild that terrorized darkspear battlegrounds with a near flawless record- this is Wintermute anarchy land -as Phoebus, Nexius, Meanrock and his raid loving shit talking lackeys. get the fuck out with that.
