http://www.newsweek.com/id/215823?GT1=43002 Some interesting toys, to be honest I almost have to laugh at the concept of inhumane weapons. Having high morales is nice, just like playing fair is nice. Our history proves that neither is necessary in the battlefield. War has nothing to do with honor, it's about winning. Hence why at the end of the day, those prepared to make the greatest sacrifice tend to succeed. Lincoln and Grant are proof, they were some of the first in American history to realize the obvious. Holding rivers, roads and bridges is nice, but it doesn't ensure victory. It's about killing, about cutting off the enemy's food supply, burning homes and farms. Wrapping supply trains around any obstacle you can to ensure the enemy is demoralized. Kill enough of them, starve them and eventually you will win. It's not about pretty little lines of neat soldiers firing endless volleys. |

Cool Post The coolest wep on there is the Super High Altitude Blimps, Park one of those babies over a city for 5 years. You can use its ground penetrating radar to look through walls etc and use it's cams to read newspapers. Reportedly the military developed a "Manhattan Project Sized" program using these blimps to be able to pick a person out of a crowd by just the way he walks and biometrics. But inhumane weapons aren't used for a reason and it's not because of what they do it's because the the effect they have on public opinion. Just look at all the bullshit and pressure the Israelis had to deal with from using white phosphorus. To many pictures of kids with their skin melted off can end a war faster then any bomb. Exactly my point though, In WW2 we took our own pictures of the aftermath of Hiroshima and spread them around widely. "Look what happens if you continue to stand against us.." It effectively ended the war with Japan in our favor due to use of ultimate force, and our own propaganda. Human beings are just as vicious as any rabid dog when push comes to shove, and we have refined our dark art of misery. In any real war it's about winning, living with yourself comes secondary because your enemy will make your nightmares look like wet dreams. I'd like to continue the argument, but for fun i'll hold off. Take a good look at the world and make some educated guesses. It won't be long before we get to contribute to our darker side of humanity. |

As long as the weapon reaks pure destruction its a win with me. Winning wars insn't about hearts and minds. Its about being the most terrifying fucking thing in the world to your enemy. Key example : The russians would coat their bullets with pigfat during the fighting in afghanistan, because a muslim with pork in his system cannot enter heaven. This is the best way to fight a war. Exploit every opportunity you can, forget women and children, and openly annihilate your opponent in the most horrible way you can. PC wars are a crock. |

'Not so great because they bitched out to public opinion. Who gives a shit what a bunch of countries across the world care about you? They aren't going to do anything and bring on the end of the world. Use MAD in your favor. Shoulda continued rocking faces. I hate the middle-east.
