Pretty sweet article.

Warhammer is probably the most tragically disappointing game in my history as a gamer... which essentially spans the entire existence of video games.

I'm 25.

I don't think you can count something like the Odyssey, which was under load when running pong, as being disappointing because this predates expectations of what video games ought to be. No one would have been disappointed because there was no standard of judgment from which to be disappointed. It was more of an attitude like, "Oh hey, this is neat." No one wrote a critical review of pacman to the tune of "Does Not Deliver." Don't bother looking an article of someone doing it, if you even thought about doing that you missed the point.

The hype didn't begin until the early 80's (shortly before I was born) but this hype wasn't "We want great games!" it was speculators hoping that the gadgets would do well on the market. I owned an Atari, NES, SNES, SEGA (with Sega channel), Sega Saturn, N64, and a Playstation before I stopped fooling with consoles and moved into PC gaming.

So yes, my life spans the entire existence of video games ~essentially.~

After reading many Warhammer books, and loving the lore.

EA you broke my heart you fags.

EA is kind of like the Borg of the gaming world. They suck everything up and make it shitty.

EVEN THE THINGS I LOVED

This is the best analogy I have ever seen for EA. How did I miss this 2 years ago?
