Posts: 117 Group: Members Member #10 Joined: Apr 15, 2009	While one may argue that I should've posted this in the other thread - but honestly, this isn't about the game itself, but about the relation of this guild / gaming community to the game. Are we going to make a guild in Mortal Online? - will it be public, as in we take in any and all players - will it be private / invite only, as in just for this community and inviting other hardcore players - will it be private, as in just for this community and recruitment is closed The reason why I ask this, is because we're approaching a large release of slots into the current beta stage (it's called Combat Beta, but it could be called Closed Beta?...) due to a new feature they are implementing along with their game store system. The ten thousand players to pre-order the game in any form (digital download, boxed version, special edition), will get into the beta on a first come, first serve schedule (there are only ten thousand copies of the game once they open up pre-orders). The pre-orders start taking place on July 13th, according to the developers. Think of this 'feature' as the Collector's Edition automatic invite system they did for the Warhammer Online CE, but much more limited. ITT: Discuss about: 1) making a guild in the game, 2) if you're going to play the game, 3) if you plan on pre-ordering and getting into beta. P.S. No cocks, please. P.S.S. The sole purpose of this thread is to get a clear understanding of whether or not I should start looking for a pre-release guild as I did with The Umbrella Corporation for Warhammer Online. I never said I wanted to (and I don't know what you mean by SA, I assume South America?), and I've already applied to a guild a couple hours after starting the thread. In risk of getting trolled, I'll bite: I enjoy playing games. Yes, there are situations and certain people I like to go out and do shit with (or just chill and chat with) and there are other certain people I don't like to. I don't base this on their personality, I base it on how easy I can understand them without the constant need to read their lips. For example, a situation that I liked to be in: After homecoming, my date and I paired up with an ex-gf of mine + her date, and a mutual friend female (that everyone in the group new), we went out to TGI Fridays. Blah blah blah... it was a fun night just chatting there and then crashing at one of their houses and playing Truth or Dare - but that's not the fun part, that's only half of it. I had fun because everyone in the group could speak clearly, so I didn't have to break my fucking neck looking all over the table for who's talking, and then read their lips (yes, there are two steps: finding the person, and then reading his/her lips). On the other hand, if I hang out with a couple of dudes who talk really, really low and with a deep voice, I am not going to understand them for shit - in that situation, I'd rather be playing games all night with text-based conversations which I can understand 100% (the only downside to these text-based conversations is the absence of emotion, or lack thereof). However, I do agree that it would be very sad if I was playing games day in and day out as a hearing person. Hint: I'm not a hearing person.
