I am just about to embark on building a new setup. I think would go with an i7 but they are designed for vista and 7 does not play well with them. So I am going to go with a Q9550 and over clock about 30%, so it should coast along at about 3.68 and rock it with 4 gigs of DDR2 1066 (5-5-5-15) I have laying around. I also am about ot get my hot hands on this new software Intel has ( for developers only) that allows you to dedicate what you want specify the tasks of each core. It is not supposed to be out till the end of this year. I am going to slap 3 500gigs in a raid 5. I will keep my epic monitor and peripherals. |

I actually got a new camera today cause I've been wanting one and have a wedding to go to this weekend. Once the battery gets charged I'll take some pics. Needed something to test the camera on anyways. |

This my PC rig: 2x20.1 inch widescreen monitors. Been looking at 23 and 24 inchers lately, but I don't think a single one would be what I want and I don't want to drop on two at once AND a bigger desk to actually be able to use them well, so I been holdin off. As you can see, I don't really dust much, and I keep a bunch of random assorted papers piled on that desk, since it's in my room. Everything from my checkbook and a couple wedding invitations to the title for my car, a new zune, some random game CDs, old birthday cards, the box my new glasses came in, and a football board from last year. Oh, and a scented candle. Gotta love those. And I didn't bother taking a pic of my TV, but I have a 52" Sony Bravia and a 360 sitting in the living room. |
