I use to work in an old copper mine from the 1850s. I swear when I would walk through there alone I could hear people talking. I would be walking through the drifts(tunnels) and it was almost like you could hear a conversation right around the corner and you could stop and try to listen to it but when you went a little bet further it would stop then start back up behind you. Just one of the many creepy things that have happened there. Also the mine had many people who were killed in it and has been known to be haunted. also (a little more explainable) I would see "shadows". It was like they would come right to the edge of the lantern light or flashlight beam and dart away around the corner. I'm pretty skeptical to say these things are ghosts but at the time I didn't even know people claim ghost can appear as "shadow figures" I started watching Ghost hunters and I saw some of the vids they took of these things and I was like HOLY FUCKING SHIT that's what I saw. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FftARtgk_Ls Kinda like that but not as pronounced. For a second, I thought this thread was about ghosts, but since it's about weird shit... might as well contribute... I haven't really had any strange experiences except that sometimes, right when I'm about go to sleep. I'll get on the bed, and then sometimes I look at the room door for a second and lay my head back down... Once in a while, during my quick look, I'll see a hand right on the blanket, like mine but my hands were under the blankets. Usually I freak out and look at it again... then shrug it off and sleep. |

Ok I have another story to tell this time it was at my dads house. It's one of the older farm houses in the area and sits on about 120 acres. For generations the Johanson family took up residence in the house and I believe quite a few of them died right in the house. Apparently they kept the bodies in the stone walled basement for the wake before they buried them out back...yes there is a graveyard on the property. My dad had to go out of town for a few days and so I decided to stay there instead of at my moms. (last fucking time) The room I was staying in is on the second floor of the house but the computer is on the first floor kinda by the basement door. So I was sitting there all alone at about 3 am playing some vyda game or some shit when I hear something in the basement knock over some shit. At this point I was kinda freaked out but I assumed it was the cat. Some time goes by and I being the perv I am decide ima gonna give myself some TLC. I'm sitting there and from in the kitchen I hear this weird ass sound. Ummmnanaummanamug. So I cover up really fast cuz I think it's someone coming into the house but nothing happens. So I start whacking it again to some asian CP and hear it again ummnanaummanug this time coming from behind the arm chair AND AGAIN from behind the loveseat! ummnaammaug! so I whip my head around as fast as I can and what do I see? A small little Cuban boy behind the armchair just staring at me! This is the first time I saw Sephs he still comes to visit me...from time to time. Edited by Casino, May 30 2009, 08:58 PM.

If there's anything to hauntings, I always thought it'd be scientifically relevant to something we don't know about yet. Like we leave behind a "sixth sense" imprint we're not yet aware of when wicked shit happens somewhere, and we subconsciously pick up on it after the fact... or there's other beings coexisting with us just out of our perception, like the Mothman. |

I used to have a job where I would have to get up to go to work at 3:30 in the morning. I would be in my car driving and would listen to Coast to Coast, simply for the LULZ. Seriously, how addiment some people are about it would make me laugh till I cried. I wish I could find an excerpt of a show where they were talking about leprechauns. |
