Responding to a forum post suggesting that there was no new online game coming from Blizzard because they hadn't begun advertising it yet, Blizzard poster Zarhym explains that the game is a new franchise being created entirely from the ground up. We have nothing to advertise for the new MMO because it's a shell of a game thus far. We've already stated it'll be a brand new franchise, which means the lore, art, and game play are being developed entirely from scratch. It's an overwhelming process, but a process through which we excel. Our track record supports this. He mentions that Blizzard had already stated this, but it's news to us. Consider it stated. Disappointing news for those hoping for a massively multiplayer StarCraft or Lost Vikings title, but it'll be nice to see what Blizzard does with its first new IP in eleven years. Let's hope they don't get greedy and fuck up their reputation....oh wait they already did.

The Lost Vikings (an average game at best) is their only original IP they have successfully completed. Warcraft is a ripoff of Warhammer Fantasy (court cases prove it). Starcraft is a ripoff of Warhammer 40K. Ghost was going to be the only original game they would have made recently and they scrapped that. Enjoy your AIDS. I will be playing WAR until 40K online comes out.

The company had problems making console games since they never made one before, that's why ghost was canceled. I read articles that the game was decent shape but blizzard scrapped it cuz it was not perfect. As much as I hate the company, I have to admit they make great games. I can't imagine what they think they're going to do that isn't medieval, isn't space and isn't vikings. Those are pretty much all the standard MMO type worlds. Medival, space, and pirates. And I really hope they aren't doing pirates. So it's probably a space game that's NOT associated with Starcraft, or a medieval game that's not Warcraft lore. Which is kind of stupid. Warcraft is all played out, so they need to move away from that, but do they really want to do ANOTHER medieval game. The only possibly good thing would be that they bought out that French studio that picked up the game rights to the Song of Ice and Fire series and Blizzard is actually working on that IP.
	I still hate Brett Favre.

I got $500 the first time I sold a character less than a year after the game was out... switched factions, got two 60s, quit for a while, came back for TBC, got them to 70 with a bunch of Kara gear in the first month, sold those for $700, and then haven't looked back.
