the tutorial is shit, it's better to swing a 21 day trial from a friend that plays a lot in the game, and then as you go through the game you just ask him questions

This is a teribad idea. Because your friend will no longer be your friend and tell you to GO THOUGH THE FUCKING TUTORIAL.

The tutorial is the stupid fratboy filter.

Eve isn't for the impatient or stupid.

It requires thinking ahead, planning, tactics, logistics, and much more.

Of course if your hiding in high sec yeah the game sucks dick. However when you live the pirates life, you will begin to understand just how appealing eve can be. Learning how to fly your ship and the thrill of a kill. It's something no other game can re-create. The battles aren't non-stop but in those few moments when your fighting for your life and you emerge victorious it's truly glorious. Ever killed a battleship with 4 frigates? I have. Hella fun fight. Ever fought 25+ vs 6? I have. We lost, but in ISK they lost just as much as we did. I probably sound like a poster boy for eve, but when you understand the more complex mechanics and you live dangerously it's an unforgiving and cruel game. Which makes the "cool" moments genuinely epic.

I haven't played in awhile, but I do miss it occasionally. Long live the Tuskers o/
Old enough to know better, too drunk to care.
